Selsun Blue is a shampoo that specializes in the treatment of dandruff. Its most popular version contains selenium sulfide as an active ingredient. The brand is touted as even more effective when compared with Head & Shoulders shampoo, which is the leading seller in the market. Selsun Blue was originally produced by Abbott Laboratories before it was bought by Chattem in 2002. In 2010, Sanofi Aventis bought Chattem, though it continued to produce the Selsun Blue brand.
